As the title of the blog implies – we are Quiet people – both deeply introverted, easy in each other’s company. Sharing our life online feels rather contradictory to our nature. We have though had some time to get to know ourselves and each other pretty well, and we both quickly realised what we are not so hot at – keeping our friends and family up to date with our lives. So this is our attempt to be better at that. Wish us luck.
We are also Curious people – which is why we are doing what we’re doing. We’ve surfed through a few Asian island countries, landed in Europe and ate + drank our way through Greece and Italy. We’ve since hopped over to Russia and are now back, soaking up the European summer sun. We’ll surf the coast of Morocco, brave the imminent northern European winter and then take off again. A few South and Central American stops for surf should snap us right out of the European freeze before we spend a few months back in Memphis snuggling nephews, planning our wedding, eating everything delicious Memphis has to offer and dripping in sweat.
We’re well into our travels and and I’ve been putting off launching this blog mostly because I’m a big chicken, but also because I’ve had a laptop fall to it’s end in Sri Lanka and a phone jump ship into a toilet bowl in Australia. I can put it off no longer (although procrastination is one of my most practiced skills).
I’ve spent months handwriting every detail of our trip – every delicious meal, kind person, beautiful sight, unpleasant toilet experience and mishaps big and small. So I suppose it is time to share those with you!
